Mission Statement
Our mission is to reach the soul of homeless veterans and their families and the homeless in the community. Our goals are to provide them with the necessities to be able to survive on the streets and how to get in contact with the services in their area to get them back on their feet. We are asking for donations of warm clothing such as sweatpants hat gloves mittens and shirts. Our focus will be on not only their personal care needs but to also help them with any mental health substance abuse issues and physical health needs. We also will do a food pantry service bi weekly for veterans active-duty members and their families.
Description
We have been operational sense August of 2022. We started out with just donating clothing and foot wear we hold a event in Syracuse twice monthly and are able to help in a emergency situation with items. We also have started to pass out food as well that they are able to take with them to get them by for a day or two if they are living on the streets. We are in the planning process regarding a emergency food pantry if we get a call regarding someone in need. We have slowly grown and evolved with the impact we are making. We have started a food pantry as well designed just for veteran. Our next goal is to get a business closet operational as well as resume writing. Down the road we would like to start some support groups and community events for veterans in need for moral and support and community.
