Description

Purpose: Scouting for Tomorrow is designed to meet the needs of youth and schools. The program helps all students, including those who are at- risk, meet the challenges of growing up through character education and Cub Scout lessons.

Objective: To provide supplemental curriculum which will reinforce life skills needed to achieve self-sufficiency. These are age-appropriate and grade-specific character education and Cub Scout lessons. These lessons are designed to involve youth through role playing, small group discussions and activities for special areas of focus.

Outreach: Scouting for Tomorrow is available to students Kindergarten through 5th grade and allows students to gain rank in Cub Scouts.

Scope of Service: Over 3,500 students in Indianapolis, Anderson, and surrounding areas are served by the Scouting for Tomorrow Program.

Outdoor Challenge: All schools who participate in the Program are invited to join us for one day at the Outdoor Challenge Days in May of every year. This event has over 70 hands-on activities such as archery, sporting events and many educational opportunities. Community Partners will also be represented with hands-on activities and displays for the youth. Outdoor Challenge Days will be held at Camp Belzer on the northeast side of Indianapolis.
