Mission Statement

TREE Leadership is a year round community leadership development that caters to individuals 12-25 years old residing in disenfranchised and underserved communities. Our goals are the challenge the behaviors that lead to poverty, crime and incarceration, by implementing evidence based solutions and alternatives encourage our participants to make better choices.

Description

The TREE Leadership organization is fairly new (since September 2022).

Our staff and board members all have more than 30 years of nonprofit experience combined.

As a former program director of a Violence Prevention Program in Dallas hired under Mayor Eric Johnson, our objective was to decrease violence in four zipcodes of the city, which we accomplished successfully under my tenure.

Now the TREE ( Truth Restore Empower Evolve) program aims more towards programs that prevent violence by identifying and addressing the behaviors that lead to it.

We have programs that teaches our participants community engagement and self sustainability. We offer training, workforce development, conflict resolution, mental and emotional health education, financial literacy, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and community leadership training.
