Mission Statement
TAA exists to supply emergency assistance to the transgender community of SC and partners with other organizations to create an affirming network of legal, health and consumer resources.
Description
Transgender Awareness Alliance is a black trans led non profit organization that was established in April of 2019. We started with name and gender marker changes, we then added emergency aid, and connections to affirming resources for the community. We host a gala to celebrate trans day of visibility in November, The remembrance gala and have recently started hosting an event for TDOV March 31st.
