Hospice volunteers make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and caregivers. Our direct patient volunteers work in the home or at a senior living facility with terminally ill patients and their families throughout Dallas, Collin County and surrounding areas. Professional Volunteers (must have valid license or certification): Hair stylist; pet therapy; aroma therapy; massage therapy; interpreters, etc. Other Opportunities: Patient companionship: Talking, playing games, reading, engaging in hobbies. Caregiver respite: Sit with a patient for a set period giving a caregiver the opportunity for selfcare and complete needed activities. Other duties may include light household chores, shopping, transportation. Professional Volunteers (must have valid License or certifications): Hair stylist; pet therapy; aroma therapy; massage therapy; interpreters, etc. Administrative assistance: Assist with special projects, general office duties and patient outreach.

Duties may include: Patient companionship: Talking, playing games, reading, engaging in hobbies. Caregiver Respite: Sit with a patient giving a caregiver the opportunity for self-care and complete needed activities. Other duties may include light household chores, shopping, transportation. All volunteers are required to go through an application process and complete volunteer training. Volunteers are encouraged to commit to volunteer for 2 hour shifts weekly or bi-weekly. We will work with your schedule and provide ongoing support for a fulfilling experience!
