Relay For Life is the world's largest volunteer-based fundraising event. At Relay For Lifeyou'll find community members taking turns walking around a track lined with luminaria bags. You'll have the opportunity to cheer for local survivors (or participate as a survivor) in our first lap of the day. Caregivers of cancer patients will then be invited to join the Survivors. Local entertainers will keep you energized. As it gets dark, we will light the luminaria bags surrounding the track in a memorable luminaria ceremony. What is Bark For Life? It is an American Cancer Society fundraising event associated with Relay For Life.
Bark For Life honors the care-giving qualities of our canine "Best Friends" and
caregivers. It presents an opportunity for people to be empowered through their
canine companion partnerships and to contribute to cancer cures through the
mission of the American Cancer Society. Each year survivors, participants, and
community members attend this event to celebrate local cancer survivors,
remember loved ones lost, and fight back by fundraising for the lifesaving mission
of the American Cancer Society. All money raised through the Bark For Life and
Relay For Life events helps fund groundbreaking cancer research and programs for
patients including free transportation to and from treatment, free lodging, and a
24/7 cancer helpline.
