Mission Statement

Eagle Star Housing is a not-for-profit organization that provides Veterans with a safe place to live while they regain independence and self-sufficiency. Our veterans are offered support services, food and housing stability, as well as education in life skills. Eagle Star Housing is committed to ensuring all Veterans have a safe place to sleep at night, while maintaining a long term goal of assisting each Veteran to find and secure permanent and stable housing.

Description

Eagle Star Housing currently provides 60-90 days of transitional housing for up to 31 Veterans at its homes in Pembroke and Spencerport, NY, and provides up to 180 days of transitional housing for up to 20 Veterans at its Safe Haven program in Farmington, NY. Additionally, Eagle Star Housing has two supportive apartment for Veterans located in Rochester and Batavia.

Provided services in these affordable living environments include: individual and group meetings, support obtaining employment or further job training, linkage to community supports, groups on life skills, budgeting, etc. Transportation is provided as needed. Regular activities, including game and movie nights are organized by Eagle Star Housing staff. To date, Eagle Star Housing has served over 1,200 Veterans.
