Cambridge Carnival International is back for its 31st year-and we’re calling on passionate, community-minded volunteers to help bring this vibrant Caribbean celebration to life! Event Details: Saturday, September 6, 2025 - Pan in the Park: Panorama Steel Pan Showcase - Pacific Park, 82-100 Pacific St, Cambridge, MA Sunday, September 7, 2025 - Cambridge Carnival International - University Park Commons, Cambridge, MA Get ready to experience the sights, sounds, and rhythms of the Caribbean right in the heart of Cambridge! With dazzling costumes, infectious music, and joyful community spirit, Cambridge Carnival is one of the city’s most colorful cultural celebrations. We’re looking for volunteers to help with all aspects of the event-from parade support and family activities to stage management and more. Join us for the Come Shop: Neighborhood Storefronts Project Small Business Marketplace on June 28-29, 2025 , at 1175 Cambridge Street in Inman Square -with volunteer shifts available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday ! This exciting, family-friendly event will feature up to 10 local vendors, free wine tastings from Marzae Wine, arts and crafts for kids, seed giveaways, and opportunities for the community to help shape the future design of this key space. We need enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to assist with: - Decorating and event setup -Vendor load-in and support -Greeting and inviting people into the event -Breakdown Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one 4-hour shift. Free refreshments will be provided , and you’ll have the chance to meet new people, support small businesses, and be part of a vibrant community initiative. Celebrate the flavors of the islands with mouthwatering jerk BBQ, fresh seafood, and tropical bites from local vendors. Sip on island-inspired drinks, enjoy live music, and don’t miss the Rum & Brew Tasting on Friday night for an extra kick! Whether you're a foodie, music lover, or just looking for a good time, Boston JerkFest brings the perfect mix of heat, flavor, and rhythm to your summer weekend.
