Mission Statement

Single Seniors for Tax Fairness (SSTF) is a nation-wide organization advocating for fairer taxes for single seniors.

Description

We are an advocacy group fighting for better tax treatment for unpartnered seniors through revision of the Pension Income Splitting policy, improving access to the TFSA for seniors who are lifelong renters who won't rederive the same tax free benefits as those who sell their principle residencies, and allowing for the one time transfer of RRSP/RRIF assets. We have approximately 700 supporters, have prepared 2 submissions for inclusion into federal budgets, met with over 130 MPs, conducted interviews with the press. The momentum is building!
