Mission Statement

Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue rescues, rehabilitates, retrains, and rehomes abused and neglected draft horses. For those draft horses that are not able to be adopted, Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue will be their forever home.

Description

Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue, founded in 2013, provides customized care to abused and neglected draft horses and a second chance at life through adoption. Each draft horse is provided the necessary food, shelter, healthcare, and training to prepare them to be adopted to a suitable home. For those draft horses that are unable to be adopted due to medical or behavioral needs, Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue will provide care for the remainder of
their lives. In the event that an adopter is no longer willing or able to care for an adoptee, the adoptee is to be returned to Roanchar Ranch Draft Horse Rescue. Each draft horse rescued will be provided with a microchip to assure that they do not land in the slaughter pipeline after being adopted.
