Mission Statement

Founded 1980, the Library Foundation exists to benefit, promote, support, and enhance the programs and services of the Louisville Free Public Library, whose mission is "to provide the people of Louisville Metro with the broadest possible access to knowledge, ideas, and information and to support them in their pursuit of learning."

Description

The Library Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves as a gateway for community members to invest their time, voices, and resources in our beloved public library system. Over the last 40 years, Library Foundation supporters have invested more than $45 million in the Louisville Free Public Library.
