ArtVan's mission is to bring strengths-based art therapy to youth living in under-resourced communities.

Description

ArtVan is a mobile art therapy organization started in 2004. We travel to under-resourced communities in Bath, Brunswick, Lewiston, Auburn and elsewhere to work with youth where they live. At no cost to families, ArtVan empowers youth to safely manage emotional expression and engage in the larger community. Without pursuing mental health diagnoses, we meet youth as they show up. ArtVan works with all genders, racial and ethnic identities, and religious backgrounds right in their neighborhoods.
