Mission Statement

The Manistique Treehouse Center is dedicated to promoting positive well-being in individuals through our programs. Our center offers a safe, creative, and supportive learning environment that focuses on both the mental and physical well-being of the community and metro area, with a unique emphasis on individuals with disabilities. We use holistic interventions to help promote positive well-being, and our programs encourage collaboration with a multicultural understanding and diversity in counseling processes. Our foundation is built on sustainability, leadership, growth, healing, and abundance, and we believe in guiding our community with love and collective efforts.

Description

At our organization, we aim to teach financial literacy and a variety of other important skills to both youth and adults, regardless of ability. Our history of programming is centered around promoting sustainability and environmentalism through activities such as the Greening and Growing of fresh foods, composting, birdwatching, and solar energy job training. We also focus on entrepreneurship and creativity, with programs designed to help individuals market their products or services. Our center promotes inclusivity and diversity, with a non-biased approach to race, religion, sexuality, and culture. At our center, we encourage individuals to be themselves and express their individuality freely. Additionally, we recognize the importance of mental health and have a licensed counselor on board to help individuals with any issues they may be facing in a professional manner.
