Overview: The Outreach Coordinator plays a crucial role in advancing the mission and goals of Blacklining Foundation by establishing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, including community members, partner organizations, and potential donors. This role involves developing and implementing outreach strategies to raise awareness, increase engagement, and foster support for the organization's initiatives and programs. Location: Remote Responsibilities: Community Engagement: Build and nurture relationships with community members, local organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to promote awareness of the nonprofit's mission and programs. Partnership Development: Identify and cultivate partnerships with other nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and community leaders to leverage resources, expand outreach efforts, and collaborate on shared goals. Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit volunteers to support outreach activities, vetting volunteers that are effectively engaged and aligned with the organization's mission and values. Marketing and Communications: Develop outreach materials, including brochures, flyers, social media posts, and press releases, to effectively communicate the organization's message and impact to diverse audiences. Digital Outreach: Utilize digital platforms, including social media, email newsletters, and the Blacklining Foundation's website, to reach and engage target audiences, share updates, and solicit support for fundraising campaigns and advocacy efforts. Data Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, including contact information, event attendance, and outreach outcomes, and prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of outreach strategies and inform future planning. Fundraising Support: Collaborate with the development team to support fundraising efforts, including donor outreach, grant applications, and special events, by providing outreach expertise and engaging with potential donors and sponsors. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay informed about trends and best practices in outreach, community engagement, and nonprofit management, and actively seek feedback to improve outreach strategies and initiatives. Requirements: Interest in community outreach, volunteer coordination, or nonprofit program management, preferably in a similar role or organization. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships, inspire others, and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, social media platforms, and other relevant software applications. Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to social justice, equity, and community empowerment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with underserved or marginalized communities. Interest in fundraising principles and techniques, including donor cultivation and stewardship.
