Mission Statement

We are a non-profit film festival for filmmakers and storytellers from all over the world to highlight human-water relationship issues and concerns that inspire an action step for the viewer beyond its entertainment and informative value. In creating this platform our goal is to leverage the power in the medium & art form of film to enhance relationships between filmmakers, organizations, and the entire human population to build advocacy and activism in water-related matters.

Description

On March 19, 2023 the first annual World Water Film Festival - an official event of NY Water Week 2023 and in association with the UN Water Conference 2023 - will take place at the Forum at Columbia University in NYC. It will showcase 70+ short and feature films on the theme of water advocacy and will feature speakers, panels and activities for the whole family. It is a FREE event, with suggested donation to our organization.
