Mission Statement
Our mission is to engage men and women 55 years and older in meaningful volunteer service to meet critical community needs and to provide a high-quality experience for the volunteers.
Description
AmeriCorps Seniors Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and better. Using their time and talents, our volunteers give back to our community and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
RSVP volunteers choose how, where, and how often they want to serve, with commitments ranging from a few hours to 40 hours per week. Volunteers receive pre-service orientation, training from the organization where they will serve, and supplemental insurance while on duty. Mileage reimbursement may be available to those who provide transportation services.
RSVP volunteers provide various services, including mentoring, meal preparation and delivery, companionship, transportation services, clerical and office support, food pantry, and more.
