Mission Statement

Provide opportunities to enrich, educate and serve our communities through classical music and inspire the next generation of musicians and patrons of the arts. In essence, serving through music. Music connects people of all ages, backgrounds and places in the world.

Description

The Greater Rockwall Youth Symphony (GRYS) was founded in 2022. Our goal is to provide a musical outlet for students while serving our community. We will bring the concert hall to you! We recognize that classical music is needed in our community to keep this art form alive. Student performances will take place throughout the community at many holiday events. We will also offer free performances for everyone at any age. Students will perform at local nursing homes, assisted living, memory centers, and senior centers. Students will also honor and serve our veterans through music. Additionally, performances and community engagement will take place in low-income early childhood learning centers and throughout the surrounding school districts.
