Having been lifelong animal lovers, Cheri, and her husband, Brian, recently set off on a new adventure to open their own nonprofit dog rescue. In 2022, Little Charlotte’s Rescue, Inc.* was born. After applying for and being granted their 501(c)3 non-profit charity status in early 2022, the rescue achieved their goal to start transporting dogs from high-kill situations in Texas to Wisconsin in Spring of 2022. In July of 2022, Little Charlotte's Rescue reached out to the Veteran Community. Knowing that many combat veterans are in need of companion animals, Little Charlotte's began waiving adoption fees for combat veterans with an accepted adoption application and reference check. This way, we are helping both homeless dogs AND Veterans. These matches are truly made in Heaven.
