Mission Statement

Our mission at New Harlem Renaissance is to reinvigorate the artistic legacy of Harlem's past through the minds of our present day community by structurally introducing music, dance, art, fashion, comedy, and film in a safe and inclusive environment. One designed to nurture and ignite the creative passions of such a historic community.

Description

We currently run a free afterschool project where we teach kids different types of art. This cohort we are teaching the kids podcasting. Next cohort will be photography.

We have a summer camp where we have free classes in the arts. Acting, comedy, modeling, photography, podcasting etc.

We have an initiative called Healing Thru Humor where we provide a free comedy show for the community and afterwards we do restorative justice circles
