Description

Family Promise of Cheyenne has been part of Laramie County for 22 years, helping children and their families overcome the struggles of homelessness.
Our short term shelter program consists of case management, education and resources in the stand alone (static) shelter, called the Natalie House.
Guests begin the program by making their first case plan. Using their case plan, Guests obtain employment, childcare, and a list of potential rentals available. During this period, Guests are educated on Good Tenancy and New Beginnings(families starting fresh). During the day, Guests are expected to be working or looking for employment or other helpful services, this is available to our Guests in the Day Center, where we provide a computer lab and accessible internet.
If the Guests complete all requirements and do well in the first 4 weeks, they may be evaluated and their time can be extended.
Discover the wide range of volunteer opportunities at Family Promise of Cheyenne - from serving meals, to providing financial literacy training, to assisting with fundraising events. Volunteers play an essential role in helping families experiencing homelessness attain sustainable independence. We offer many exciting opportunities to use your skills for great impact through virtual and in-person volunteering!
