Mission Statement
The Hesser Foundation is a Nevada-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to lift homeless, displaced, and disadvantaged youth in the Philippines out of poverty. We do this primarily by funding schools and supplies for impoverished students in the Philippines. If they do not attend school they are pressured to work for less than $2.00 per 10 hour day to help support single-parent families. Since 2008, The Hesser's have helped students stay in school by providing them the funds for their school and basic necessities like pencils, paper, books and shoes.
Description
We want to stop the cycle of illitercy in the Philippines. This is done by paying the titution and buying the school supplies for the children. Also we have volunteers who take the children into their homes to help them with their homework because the illiterate parents cannot.
