Best Buddies International is dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with and without intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships, leadership development, and integrated employment.

Description

Best Buddies is the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical, and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Our programs empower the special abilities of people with IDD by supporting the formation of meaningful friendships with peers, securing successful jobs, living independently, and improving public speaking, self-advocacy, and communication skills. Over the past four years, Best Buddies in Washington and Oregon has grown to over 15 school friendship programs (K-College), adult community friendship programs in Seattle and Portland, and will be opening a jobs program in Washington (in winter 2023).
