Mission Statement
UCP of the North Bay’s mission is to enhance the quality of life of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities, their families, and their communities. We envision a future where people with disabilities live with dignity, participate meaningfully and experience success.
Description
Our non-profit started in 1981 as a small group focused on recreation for children and adults with disabilities. Our goals cover Education, Employment and Recreation in Sonoma, Napa, Solano and Marin Counties in California. We support full time staff to pursue degrees in Teaching, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and Occupational Therapy.
Learn: Under UCPNB we have a non-profit, non-public school on two adjacent campuses- Cypress Primary School and Cypress Secondary School serving 72 students with Autism, Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities ages 5-22 years old. The school provides a modified curriculum that includes outdoor education and recreation including surfing and horseback riding, an organic farm and individual job internships.
Work: UCPNB provides four integrated employment, education and recreation programs in fully included community life. Serving 240 employees with disabilities.
Play: UCPNB provides a variety of camps and recreational activities in different locations throughout Sonoma, Solano, Napa and Marin Counties Serving 300 children and adults with disabilities in these activities.
