Mission Statement

We are a 501 C 3 grassroots organization and our mission is to provide community support for different abilities through awareness, acceptance and inclusion. We provide parents training for the employment program IHSS, educational workshops on federal/state programs, activities and annual events which promote social growth and inclusion.

Description

Our grassroots mission begin in 2012 at the local level in the City of Carson. We are directly responsible for reigniting the City of Carson Special Needs program which was under developed due to children maturing into adults and leaving the programs. Together we created community goals for their therapeutic recreation program and our non profit programs with our organization. Autism advocates goals are to provide Autism Awareness and Acceptance by providing quality resources that help families grow and navigate the system. We are always seeking volunteers to help us continue our mission in the community.

Hello! My name is Jessica Aquino and I am interested in volunteering to this organization! Growing up with an autistic younger brother, I’ve seen all the good and bad. There is always this never ending anxiety that fills up my heart when my brother hangs out with other children. To take this worry off of other sisters, brothers, and parents, is something I want to do. But most importantly, I want to provide a fun and judge-free environment for all. thank you.
