Virtual Science Teachers (www.virtualscienceteachers.org), a pioneering non-profit organization, is seeking passionate individuals from the Hampton Roads community to join our Board of Directors. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of STEM education and make a lasting impact on our youth. As a board member, you will have the opportunity to: Strategy and Governance: Play a key role in strategic planning and governance, helping VST to achieve its mission of providing top-quality, interactive STEM education resources. Advocacy and Outreach: Serve as an ambassador for VST, advocating for STEM education and expanding our outreach to schools, educators, and students in the Hampton Roads area and beyond. Fundraising and Development: Assist with fundraising efforts to secure the resources needed for VST to grow and thrive, including grant writing, donor engagement, and planning fundraising events. Financial Oversight: Ensure the financial health of the organization by monitoring and developing its budget, financial strategies, and ensuring proper use of funds. Program Development: Contribute to the development and evaluation of VST's programs, ensuring they meet the educational needs of our community and adhere to high standards.
