Mission Statement
Our mission at Fresh Start (certified 501c3) is to aid in the resettlement of refugees and immigrant groups in the Washington DC metro and Southern California regions by providing home furnishings, resources, and opportunities that promote self-sufficiency.
Description
Fresh Start Refugee Assistance Center is a nonprofit organization (501c3 certified) that was established in 2017 to serve immigrants and refugees in the DMV metropolitan area. Fresh Start partners with local organizations, companies, and individual volunteers to assist in the resettlement of federally approved refugees as they begin their new lives in the United States. We provide assistance well beyond policy time limits set by other resettlement agencies. At Fresh Start we strive to provide these services with adequate resources and accessibility.
Fresh Start aims to approach the resettlement process in a holistic manner and understands that "resettlement" goes beyond the initial 90 day support that is typically provided by resettlement organizations. Fresh Start services are broken into three categories: resettlement, education, community integration. To learn more, please visit our website https://www.freshstartrefugee.org/
