Veteran Volunteers Needed! Pass out framed certificates to Veterans on hospice and help us thank them for their service to our great Nation. This position has a very small time commitment, but makes a HUGE impact. Caris Healthcare is a Hospice agency serving the greater St. Louis area, including St. Charles and St. Peters. Whenever we have a Veteran on service, we do several things to support their journey: We learn about their military background and bear witness to their experiences We honor them with a framed certificate that recognizes their service in their particular branch of service and present them with an American Flag pin We connect them with any VA services they may eligible for We provide them with hospice care that meets any emotional or spiritual needs they may have related to their time in service You can help us with this important mission by making the presentation of the framed certificate and pin. You would also have the opportunity to spend time sharing stories and providing companionship, if you so choose. The time commitment is minimal and you can plan your visits according to your own schedule. There is a special sense of comradery that only YOU can provide to our Veterans. Call today to learn more!

Use your crafty talents to support our hospice patients! Join or amazing team of "Special Project" Volunteers as we make handmade afghans, lap quilts, fidget blankets, art pieces and handmade cards for our patients. Every patient who comes on our service is greeted with a special handmade gift and they are also mailed greeting cards and letters throughout their time on hospice. You can be a part of bringing comfort and cheer to those who need it most! Your crafted items can be dropped off at our office, shipped to Caris or, if you are within a half hour radius of Westport Plaza, we can arrange to meet and pick up your donations. Volunteering for hospice looks great on a resume and this opportunity has no age requirement!

We are looking for compassionate Volunteers, age 16 and over, to provide companionship to our Hospice Patients. Volunteers are matched with patients and then make visits at their convenience (at least once per month, but as often as you wish). Volunteers spend time talking with patients, reading to patients, playing music for patients or engaging in games, crafts, watching TV or movies together or other engaging in other activities based on interest and ability. Some volunteers also enjoy bringing treats to their patients. Most of our patients are in nursing homes in St. Charles, St. Peters, Maryland Heights, Town & Country and other parts of the Greater St. Louis area. We also have several home patients. Volunteers receive complete training and we make the first visit or two together to make sure the volunteer feels comfortable in his or her new role. Volunteering for hospice brings joy; knowing you are brightening your patient's day with your visit. Volunteering for hospice cultivates priceless intergenerational relationships. Office Support Volunteer Needed for Caris Healthcare. Some people want to help a good cause, like hospice, but they don't feel comfortable sitting at the bedside of a terminally ill patient, so we have the perfect Volunteer opportunity for you! In this roll you would come in to our office for 2 hours, once or twice a month to help with paperwork, filing, making phone calls, stuffing envelopes or purchasing and putting together gifts for patients. Occasional data entry might also be an option. Training and support are provided. Volunteering for Hospice looks great on your resume!
