Mission Statement

We Are Women Warriors is a nonprofit organization whose charitable mission is to contribute to the positive improvement of the quality-of-life available to historically economically-disadvantaged individuals, and to their children, by aiding the uplift and empowerment of the neighborhoods and communities inhabited by these citizens and residents. We achieve this goal by creating, enacting, improving, supporting, and promoting Initiatives and Efforts designed to build the capacity of such persons, and their children, to advocate for themselves.

Description

We Are Women Warriors is a Family and Community Empowerment Organization, founded during Year 2012, and has conducted invaluable Outreach Efforts and Initiatives, as well as was delivered public services and messages that heightened awareness of the insidious (COVID-19 related) Coronavirus, throughout the City Of Buffalo's urban inner-core (predominantly) Minority neighborhoods.n. In addition, Warriors has conducted Gun Violence Awareness, Intervention, and Prevention Efforts, i.e. Y2022's "No Excuses" Initiative, as well as participated in partnerships with other Community-Based Organizations and Groups, and was also successful in securing installation of several (covered) public transit Bus Shelters along a (very) busy inner-core neighborhood thoroughfare (i.e. East Ferry Street). Finally, Warriors has conducted countless Neighborhood Cleanups along the E. Ferry Street Corridor, since having more or less 'adopted' the thoroughfare, extending as far back as Y2017.
