Mission Statement

Sangha Space is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit volunteer ran, community based organization which serves children and families in identified areas of need. Sangha Space is committed to the nourishment of Community - through integrating in the communities in which we serve - which is what the cultivation of Sangha is all about!

Description

Sangha develops, implements and provides space for programming for children of all ages providing opportunities for equal access to programs which enrich the mind + body connection. Through this, we believe these opportunities provide an alternative path for children to learn, care & nurture themselves for a lifetime; positive impacting their mental and physical well-being, ultimately positively impacting communities in which they live. Sangha Space provides free educational programming, mental health programs, 'the arts’ and educational workshops & weekend retreats for children and volunteers alike, training, certifying and mentoring professionals to lead these extraordinary efforts in the city of Chicago proper, as well as nationwide.
