Description
Tashkent State University of Economics is one of the largest economic universities in the Republic of Uzbekistan and Central Asia. The university was founded on August 13, 1931 under the name of the Central Asian Financial and Economic Institute.
Historical names of the Tashkent State Economic University Central Asian Financial and Economic Institute (1931-1936); Tashkent Financial and Economic Institute (1963-1991); Tashkent State University of Economics (since 1991). Currently, the university has 5 faculties, 9 joint educational programs, 22,000 students study in bachelor's, master's and correspondence courses. They are taught by more than 900 professors. Of these, 70 are foreign professors, more than 54 are doctors of science, 153 are candidates of science and teachers with a PhD degree.
