Mission Statement
The Adolescent Health Alliance is a not-for-profit organization that conducts peer-facilitated health intervention programs targeting adolescents. The mission of the Adolescent Health Alliance is to enhance the lives of teens by helping them to recognize the dangers and risks they face in their daily lives and by promoting healthier lifestyles.
Description
AHA strives to remedy some of the major health and social problems facing teens today including teen pregnancy, the preponderance of sexually transmitted diseases, domestic violence, gang violence, smoking, drug use and alcohol abuse. AHA accomplishes this by educating and empowering the teens by providing them with the skills, behaviors, knowledge and confidence necessary to lead successful and healthy lives.
