Our mission is to provide the best possible care for captive elephants in Sri lanka.

Description

Millennium elephant foundation (MEF) is situated in a 15 acre state known as 'Samaragiri',which has been home to the Samarasinghe family.The family had elephants from 1960's.An elephant lover named Sam Samarasinghe opened the state to the public in 1999.
We are home to the Elephant walk experience and has started the volunteering with captive elephants in Sri lanka.
We welcome volunteers around the globe to join and help us to improve the lives of captive elephants in Sri Lanka.
