The mission of the African University Foundation, an Indianapolis based 501(c)3 non-profit organization, is to facilitate and serve the development of African University in Tali, Cameroon through ethical resource mobilization and management.
Received a land grant from the Tali Traditional Council for the construction of an African University; Established an African University Planning Board in Cameroon; Organized an exploratory trip to Cameroon regarding African University; Organized a Women’s Leadership Conference in Tali; Completed a comprehensive development needs study for the Tali Community Area which includes 59 villages; Organized a 3-day symposium in Tali on African higher education, and sustainable community development; Completed a site survey of the land reserved for the African University; Planted palm trees around the perimeter of the African University site; Developed academic and business plans for African University; Cleared and staked the site for phase one buildings; Completed a Master Plan for African University; Completed a conceptual rendering of phase one of the African university; Organized an 11-day working visit to Cameroon regarding phase one of African University including a meeting between the United States (U.S.) Ambassador to Cameroon, His Excellency Robert Jackson, and a 10-person Cameroonian and U.S. delegation; Completed analysis for the design of the buildings for phase one of African University; Organized sustainable rural farming workshops on Eru (Gnetumafricanum) and giant snails (Achantinafulica) for women in Tali; Constructing a 12,000 sq ft multi-purpose building in Tali; Plan to start a microfinance program and complete planning for a university farm in 2023
