Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital (MEETH) is a specialized center that focuses on high-quality care for eye, ear and throat conditions-but that's not all we do. We provide advanced treatments for thousands of patients each year, offering a range of services and expert care.

And to say we’re pioneers is an understatement. We have an extraordinary history of firsts. We opened the first allergy clinic in 1916, performed the first modern cataract surgery in 1967, opened the first cochlear implant center in 1983, and most recently, performed the first insertion of the Baha Attract hearing device in 2013. And that’s just to name a few.

MEETH highlights include:

  • Ambulatory services in ophthalmology, otolaryngology (ENT), orthopedics, podiatry, plastic surgery, urology, vascular surgery, gynecology, dental surgery and general surgery
  • 17 operating rooms equipped with the latest technology for surgery
  • Highly specialized medical and clinical staff consisting of skilled professionals across multiple disciplines, all collaborating to deliver the best care for you
  • 7 outpatient practices including the Infusion Center, Primary Care Center, Center for Attention and Learning, Outpatient Center for Mental Health, ophthalmology, physical therapy and plastic surgery
