Empowering children, parents, and teachers to prevent child abuse among neglected and resource-starved people in the world. The Kids First Fund helps abused and abandoned children. We protect children from abuse. We empower young adults with a positive future. We strengthen families. We build awareness of child abuse. We operate in countries where resources are very limited. Current projects provide support for children in Latvia, Moldova, and Oglala Lakota and Sicangu Lakota Nations. The Kids First Fund supports programs to educate child welfare professionals such as police officers, judges, social workers, teachers and prosecutors on child abuse issues. The Kids First Fund does not incur any expenses since all staffing and services are donated.
The Kids First Fund affirms its overall strategic direction to align grant activities in Latvia, Moldova, the Oglala Lakota and Sicangu Lakota Nations. The focus areas for the Kids First Fund are the following: 1) Child abuse prevention, 2) Educational programming, 3) Geographic focus in impoverished rural areas (such as Latgale in Latvia), and 4) Projects that show promise for future self-funding, or which have a defined end date. We provide grants to partner organizations in our designated grant areas. KFF operates as an all-volunteer organization with zero salary, administration, and fundraising expense.
Since 1999 (through 2021) the Kids First Fund has generated revenue of $724,142 and has spent $605,661 on grants for program work. This has been accomplished with zero expenditure on expenses of any kind, to include salaries and fundraising.
