Our mission is to inspire you to reach their fullest potential by providing them with the skills and knowledge necessary for their journey to adulthood and success. Since 2017, our community development strategies have inspired more than 450 youth to reach their highest potential by providing them with the skills, resources, and opportunities necessary for a successful journey into adulthood.
This Holiday season, GELP is hosting its first annual "8 Days of Christmas'' Resource Fair. Each day of the event will provide a myriad of learning and resource activities for our participants including career training, live cooking demonstrations, self care and anger management/conflict resolution support.These learning activities are designed to empower students with life-long skills that will positively influence their lives.
On the final day of our resource fair, GELP will sponsor 20 children from the Greenmount East community to a Christmas event at the Gaylord Hotel in Washington D.C. Upon return from the Gaylord, participants will receive a Christmas dinner and Christmas gifts. We are currently fundraising to cover the cost of this trip. However, we think our efforts would go even further with your support as a sponsor.
