Cascadia Climate Action works to provide resources that will enable community members to find how they can best become informed, get involved and take action to stop climate change. With a small team, CCA provides a calendar of aggregated climate and clean energy events, a newsletter and a website of resources and references. These tools are supplemented by outreach to community members and mentoring of students and interns to learn about climate change and ways to advance solutions that will meet the urgency of this global crisis.
Cascadia Climate Action is a 501(c)(3) project under CascadiaNow!fiscal sponsor for a variety of grassroots nonprofit projects. We promote opportunities for community members to gain knowledge, skills and experience in order to most effectively move society toward clean energy and other solutions to protect the viability of the earth's climate. We collaborate with other groups, organizations, colleges, and agencies to build capacity while making friends and strengthening connections through our tools and connections, mentoring interns, and our own series of community events, Climate Science on Tap. Addressing global warming requires being well informed on the underlying science and policy opportunities while also having fun addressing this existential crisis as quickly as we can!
