Mission Statement

EmpoweRanch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity intentionally located in south Phoenix providing inclusive, accessible, holistic educational and therapeutic outdoor recreation to improve quality of life for underserved communities in the Phoenix area, especially urban youth and veterans with and without disabilities.

Description

We reach therapeutic and educational goals using a variety of modalities including:

  • horsemanship
  • farm animals
  • outdoor recreation
  • outdoor skills instruction
  • environmental education
  • nature play
  • service
  • gardening
  • STREAM education
  • arts
  • games
  • and more!

We have programs for all ages and abilities, including unique programs that specifically serve under-resourced communities.

We offer group and private recreational therapy sessions, therapeutic horsemanship, day camps, overnight camps, community events, adaptive and inclusive "Day at the Ranch" field trips, volunteer opportunities for all ages and abilities, and off-site outreach with our community partners.
