Our mission is to provide a safe space for personal growth through equine assisted activities for veterans and their families, those suffering from trauma and loss, and those who are struggling with cognitive and emotional challenges.
Description
Building Bridges Foundation at Anderson Farm (BBFAF) is a beautifully scenic 20-acre farm in Lancaster County, PA. BBFAF is committed to making a significant impact in improving the lives of active-duty military, veterans, and their families. The farm was designed to provide peace and tranquility with a swimming pool for families to relax, walking trails to provide mindfulness with nature, and horses to provide equine-assisted psychotherapy.
BBFAF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) registered with the PA Bureau of Charitable Organizations governed by a Board of Directors. The finance committee has an annual financial review conducted by an independent CPA. BBFAF is an EOO and will not allow discrimination based upon age, ethnicity, ancestry, gender, national origin, disability, race, size, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, or any other status prohibited by applicable law.
We offer therapy with a PA Board Certified Therapist: Equine-assisted psychotherapy (affiliated with the Equine Assisted Learning & Growth Association), family, group, and individual counseling, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) therapy, Survivor of Sexual Trauma therapy (MST), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) treatments, Resilience training, Depression and Anxiety treatments, Addictions therapy, Effective Communication Skills, Relationship healing counseling, Emotion regulation and problem solving, Healthy Movement coaching for healing of joints and muscles, and more.
