The Rady Children's Hospital Auxiliary's mission statement is to work alongside Rady Children's Hospital to help educate our community, advocate for the hospital and fundraise. With 20 Auxiliary units throughout San Diego County, we reach just about every geographical area in San Diego. All of us share a passion for supporting local children and families during what could be the most stressful time of their lives.
The North Coast Unit of Rady Children's Hospital - San Diego has been raising awareness and much needed funds for 40 years. We have donated over $2 million dollars to various departments since our inception. We meed once a month locally, in the north county coastal area of San Diego. We are a diverse group that come from different backgrounds, all here to work together to help Rady Children's Hospital stay a world class children's hospital. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of month, alternating between daytime and nighttime meetings. Our signature fundraiser is Date Night for a Cause. This will be our 11th year of hosting this event with live music and auction items at the Belly Up in Solana Beach.
Besides fundraising, we support the hospital in other ways. We provide items to the Emergency Department, Helen Bernardy Center, Chadwick Center to help the patients and families that are in need. We are also out in the community during Jersey Mikes day of giving and several other event throughout the year.
