Mission Statement
To end help end human trafficking in SWLA and the world.
Description
We fight trafficking through awareness, prevention, advocacy, providing a pathway and restoration.
Awareness - We do awareness booths, host film nights, do news interviews, speak at any events, do podcasts, have radios PSAs, are on social media, have a website and anything else to let people know that human trafficking happens here.
Prevention - We train people to learn the signs for their particular jobs. We've trained teachers, hotel workers, churches, over 100 DARE officers and many more.
Advocacy - We let our communities know about bills that would help survivors more and punish buyers/sellers better. Then, with their help, we pass them. Some examples are the TVPRA, Louisiana Child Marriage law and axing the Pink Tax.
Providing A Pathway - We have street outreach leaders who build relationships with adults in sexual exploitation. We show them love and let them know they can have a better life when they choose to. We'll walk with them throughout the process.
Restoration - Once they decide to get out, we help connect them with whatever they need: job, ID, medical help counseling. restoration home, family reconciliation and anything else.
