Join us for our Wednesday night After School Program (ASP)! Our primary focus is to help students with their reading abilities and academics following the COVID-19 hit to academics, and serve to do this in a fun way! Outside of just reading together, we also make sure that students get to exercise other skills through arts & crafts, team building activities and games, creative arts time, and physical/outdoor games. There are many ways you can support or volunteer with us! Whether you want to lead specific games or activities, want to be a helper, a reading tutor, help with set up or clean up, and so much more. Our goal is to serve 15-30 students on a given Wednesday afternoon, and grow those numbers as our volunteer base grows. Volunteers should enjoy working with kids (aged Kindergarten to 4th grade), be comfortable managing elementary age behaviors, be willing to learn and participate as much as the students do, be a team player with other volunteers, and available at least 1 Wednesday a month (greater availability/commitment means deeper relationships with students!). Please note that we are flexible with your abilities & skills, so long as you bring a willing to learn and grow attitude.
