A diverse group of people representing the LGBTQ+ San Diego community meet to discuss the rising LGBTQ+ youth homeless crisis in Mexico. After several hours of brainstorming and discussion, a decision is reached. We would exercise our networks, fundraising skills, and volunteer aptitude to create a dedicated community home in Mexico for displaced LGBTQ+ youth.
Casa Loto's goal is to establish a community home for displaced LGBTQ youth in Mexico. Homelessness among LGBTQ youth is at an all time high, and with no dedicated resources, members of this section of the community often face hardship.
