Mission Statement
The Community Living Campaign taps the power of relationships to assure every person’s right to community living through self-help, mutual assistance and systems change initiatives.
Description
The Community Living Campaign started in 2008 as a neighborhood-based way to provide seniors and adults with disabilities with what they need to live a good life. We serve seniors and people with disabilities through community-building, empowerment, and advocacy. CLC organizes free community-based activities and programs like computer classes, healthy aging workshops, exercise groups, grocery delivery, and job placements.
One of CLC's most recent initiatives, the San Francisco Tech Council, is a multi-sector collaborative that prioritizes the needs of older and disabled adults in tackling digital inequities so all City residents can benefit. Closing the digital divide by increasing Internet access as well as providing technology training and support will improve the ability older and disabled adults to connect with family and friends, participate in civic activities, and access essential support from human services providers.
