The Buddhist Center Thubten Norbu Ling supports the learning, practice, and application of the Buddha's spiritual teachings. As a spiritual community serving the needs of students, we are nurtured by the energy of our Tibetan Buddhist founder Lama Thubten Yeshe, our spiritual director Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and by all of our teachers.
The Buddhist Center Thubten Norbu Ling is a teaching and meditation center in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. We offer the teachings of the Buddha in the lineage of Lama Je Tsongkhapa (1357-1419 AD) and his followers, the fourteen Dalai Lamas of Tibet. Our name, Thubten Norbu Ling, is Tibetan for "Land of the Jewel of the Buddha's Teachings." We are associated with the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), a worldwide organization with 170 centers. Lama Thubten Zopa is the Spiritual Director of the FPMT. He was Lama Thubten Yeshe's heart disciple and founded our parent organization with him in 1975. Our volunteers are essential to the center's functioning; they come from all different walks of life, and they all share comradery and appreciation for the Buddhist teachings.
