Our volunteers play a huge roll in our farm ministry. If you want to learn about farming, bees & gardening-then you've come to the right place. We love our volunteers, and much of our daily chore list is completed by individual and group volunteers working side by side. We rely on a team of volunteers to help with the daily task list, as well as miscellaneous jobs that arise. If you have a specific skill or gift that you would like to offer be sure to indicate that on your application. Grow Your Own Learn and assist in the ins and outs of growing your own food, seed planting and care, plant maintenance and pest control. Learn about harvesting food, dehydrating and other preservation methods. Livestock Care Help care for our chickens, pig and goats. Jobs would involve cleaning out pens and coops, collecting eggs, goat milking, goat hiking, and lots of love. Childcare Our ministry offers different opportunities to serve and engage with children of different ages. Wilderness Survival Learn and participate in wilderness survival activities, foraging, sustainable living, and growing your own organic food Website Help As our ministry is growing, we would love help with managing and updating our website.

Growing Farm Ministry in need of teachers for farm school classes. Our ministry is one of a kind and impacting the community. Join us in making a difference by teaching children how to connect to nature and God through the plants and animals on our small farm, and the resources He has provided us. Looking for teachers that have experience working with young children, are quick learners and can help with creating a curriculum. Different programs with different age groups available. LEAD TEACHER FOR OUTDOOR FARM SCHOOL PROGRAMS AGES 0-13 The Lead Teacher will be responsible for designing and delivering a farm/nature school curriculum with a focus on outdoor and hands-on learning experiences for children ages 0 - 13. The lead teacher may collaborate with other teachers and program coordinator to implement fun and innovative teaching techniques and create hands-on experiences that will inspire students and foster their passion to learn and appreciate all of God’s creation. The Farm Ministry programs will be located on a home farm in San Clemente OR a rural acreage outside of San Juan Capistrano. Responsibilities: - Develop lesson plans for Farm Fridays programs, Mini Farmers, Farm Camp Days and Summer Camps. Collaborating with assistant teachers, parents,and volunteers, other ministry staff as needed. Meet with Ministry Coordinator to develop themes and new program offerings. Set-up and clean-up. Assist parents with checking in children for class, keep track of attendance and waivers. Contribute to a positive, fun, and respectful culture that supports and nurtures learning, curiosity, wonder, creativity, and Christian values Model respect and curiosity for learning and encourage students’ interests and talents Qualifications: Experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds, educational needs and abilities Excellent interpersonal skills, and effective oral and written communication skills Experience and Training At least two years providing educational experiences with children Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills. A passion and excitement to teach young children in an alternative learning environment such as a nature-based farm school. Having CPR/first-aid certification is recommended. Job Type: Part-time Lead Teacher for farm ministry programs. Flexible hours and schedule varies throughout the school year, plus summer camps. Some programs are offered on traditional school-observed holidays so ability to work at least some of these is required. Class sizes 10-20+ kids (ages 0 - 15), includes some Mommie & Me programs. Job description P/T ASSISTANT TEACHER INTERNSHIP Job Summary: The Farm School Teacher will be responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in delivering a farm/nature school curriculum with a focus on outdoor and hands-on learning experiences for children ages 0 - 15. The assistant teacher may collaborate with other teachers and program coordinator to implement fun and innovative teaching techniques and create hands-on experiences that will inspire students and foster their passion to learn and appreciate all of God’s creations.The Farm Ministry programs will be located on a home farm in San Clemente OR a rural acreage outside of San Juan Capistrano. Responsibilities: * Assist lead teacher with all aspects of farm and survival classes and programs. * Assist with set-up and clean-up * General assisting of students and sometimes parents with various activities around the farm, including but not limited to farm chores, interacting with animals, crafts, games, hikes, cooking, and free play. * Assist parents with checking in children for class, keep track of attendance and waivers. * Contribute to a positive, fun, and respectful culture that supports and nurtures learning, curiosity, wonder, creativity, and Christian values of...... * This position may require lifting or moving (in a wheelbarrow, for example) over 20 pounds. Qualifications: - Previous experience working with children.
