To create and promote a positive downtown experience for residents, businesses, and visitors.
Stuart Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and an accredited Main Street America program proudly serving our historic downtown for 35 years. We belong to a network of more than 1,200 other Main Street programs across the country using a 'Four Point Approach' to:
- Build community consensus and use resources collaboratively;
- Maintain a distinctive appearance in keeping with downtown’s Old Florida charm;
- Stabilize the economic environment, strengthening and retaining existing businesses and filling vacancies;
- and, Market a positive image of the downtown through advertising, public relations and digital media, and retail and special events.
We produce our City's farmers market, 'Market on Main' every Sunday all year-round. We host a 'Kids Market' every month to support and promote youth entrepreneurship. We also produce our City's free concert series, Rock'n Riverwalk every Sunday in the heart of our downtown o the Riverwalk Stage. We produce our City's annual Halloween and Christmas Tree Lighting events. We operate and maintain a historic building as a private event space. We find ways to enhance the beauty of our downtown by planting butterfly gardens, and working with local artists to create art murals. We act as a resource for our small businesses by offering additional education and business incubator programs.
Everyone should invest in their downtown! We're the heart of Community.
