Job Description- Office services Volunteer Come join our team and provide office support for our hospice program Hospice volunteers are essential members of our hospice team. They are members of our community who have a heart for people. Office volunteers assist with filing, answering phones, making admission packets, etc. Office volunteers are essential because they give hospice staff more time to be involved in patient care. We do a criminal background check. We will provide training. All are done with no cost to the volunteer. Serving: Athens, Mabank, Malakoff, Larue, Canton, Tool, and Gun Barrel City Stacy Huddleston

We are looking for volunteers to provide our patients, families, and caregivers with a friendly call once a week to verify they have everything they need for the coming weekend. The volunteer will call patients and families once a week, preferably on a consistent day. Any needs identified by the volunteer will be addressed by the nurse. Hospice orientation and training will be arranged to fit your schedule. A background check will need to be completed prior to volunteering. At Charter Healthcare our goal is to provide personalized care for our patients and families with compassionate communication that anticipates the changing needs of the families we serve.

Come join our team! Hospice Volunteers are essential members of our hospice team. They are members of our community who have a heart for people. Our volunteers enrich the lives of patients and families through the delivery of safe, compassionate care and support. Volunteers help fill the gap in companionship experienced by many individuals living in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or are home-bound due to their life-limiting illnesses. Volunteers choose their assignments and visit patients in the volunteer’s community. Each patient is unique and volunteers can improve the patient’s quality of life through personalized delivery of assistance. Volunteer activities may include playing games, coloring, reading, writing for the patient, playing music, sitting at the bedside, watching TV/ movies, and active listening. Volunteers may also provide caregiver relief for families. Caregiver relief is when a volunteer visits with a patient while the caregiver takes some time away from caregiving duties to run errands or go to appointments. Come join our team!
