Mission Statement
ReelAbilities Film Festival is the largest festival in the U.S. dedicated to promoting awareness and appreciation of the lives, stories, and artistic expressions of people with disabilities. Founded in New York City in 2007, the festival presents international and award-winning films by and about people with disabilities in multiple locations throughout each hosting city. Post-screening discussions and other engaging programs bring together the community to explore, discuss, embrace, and celebrate the diversity of our shared human experience.

ReelAbilities Film Festival: Los Angeles October 2022 is a three-day festival that showcases new and classic films, conversations, and artistic programs. ReelAbilities Film Festival: Los Angeles explores, embraces, and celebrates the diversity of our shared human experience. This festival is hosted by the Department of Disability of the City of Los Angeles. All films are presented with full audio description and closed captioning. We will continue to work together with the public (irrespective of ability) to gain a greater appreciation of quality film across abilities.
