Mission Statement

Impact Mental Health provides rapid, transformational, whole-person psychiatric care to uninsured, low-income, Utahns who have serious mental illnesses. Its co-equal mission is to provide state-of -the-art, integrative, community-oriented clinical education for future mental health clinicians who can sustain the impact for future generations.

Description

Impact Mental Health is a non-profit psychiatric clinic that provides readily accessible mental health care for individuals challenged with serious mental illness and who are uninsured and low-income (living in households at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Guidelines).

The critical services we provide at Impact Mental Health are designed to break the cycle of:

  • Hopelessness and suicide
  • Homelessness
  • Poverty
  • Unemployment and underemployment
  • Other conditions related to living with mental illness
All services are provided at no-cost to the patient. Impact Mental Health is also a very desired, multidisciplinary training site for University of Utah Psychiatry Residents, Doctor of Nursing Practice Students, and Master-level Social Work Students.
